RSSMahindra’s Domestic Tractor Sales Increase 68% to 11,517 Units in December
Mumbai, India — Mahindra & Mahindra's Farm Equipment Sector (FES), a part of the U.S. $6.3 billion Mahindra Group, maintained its leadership position in the tractor industry in December 2009.
Domestic tractor sales for the month of December 2009 stand at 11,517 units, as compared to 6,858 units for the same period last year, an increase of 68%.
Exports for December 2009 stand at 922 units, as compared to 646 units for the same period last year.
Total tractor sales (domestic + exports) for December 2009 stand at 12,439 units, as compared to 7,504 units for the same period last year, an increase of 66%.
YTD domestic sales registered a 44% increase at 121,528 units, as against 84,161 units for the same period last year. The company's YTD sales (domestic + exports) registered a 41% increase at 127,670 units, as compared to 90,360 units for the same period last year.
