RSSKIOTI Promotes Peter Kim to Vice President and Chief Procurement Officer
Wendell, N.C. (June 14, 2010) — KIOTI Tractor, a division of Daedong Industrial Company Ltd, has recently announced the promotion of Peter Kim to Vice President and Chief Procurement Officer.
Kim was most recently the company’s Business Procurement Manager and Administrative Manager.
Kim’s promotion is one of three recent strategic moves within the company designed to better balance the international and domestic aspects of the business and to provide a strong and well-rounded management team to lead the company in North America.
Kim has been with KIOTI and parent company Daedong Industrial Co., Ltd. since 2006. Initially working out of the Seoul, South Korean headquarters, he became an International Sales Manager, primarily responsible for the European market. Following that experience, he joined the KIOTI Tractor Division of Daedong in their current North Carolina headquarters in Wendell. Here, he became the primary liaison and communication channel between Daedong and KIOTI, where he instituted a new purchasing plan and strategy. Later, he coordinated the launch of new products and implements.
Peter Kim has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Yonsei University in Seoul and a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from that same school. He was also an MBA Candidate in International Management at the Thunderbird School of Global Management at Glendale, Arizona.
