Czech-Based CGS Tyres to Sign Agreement at Farm Progress

Company to build agricultural tire production facility in Charles City, Iowa

Czech-based CGS Tyres is committed to build a factory in Charles City, IA, to produce agricultural tires by Jan. 1, 2012.   CGS Tyres representatives approached the Iowa Department of Economic development (IDED) and the Charles City council with a feasibility study in July 2010. Negotiations were conducted with IDED, Charles City, Charles City Area Development Corporation and Floyd County.

An agreement was reached in August 2010 and CGS Tyres will sign investment documents on August 31 at Farm Progress Show in Boone, IA.
