Calmer Corn Heads' BT Crusher Earns 2009 Reader's Choice Award for Residue Management


Des Moines, IA, January 15, 2010 - Calmer Corn Heads announced today that it has received the No-Till Farmer's Residue Management Product of the Year Award for its Calmer BT Crusher Stalk Rolls. The recognition was given to Calmer Corn Heads by the readers of No-Till Farmer, who vote on products in several categories.

Darrell Bruggink, executive editor/publisher of No-Till Farmer, presented Marion Calmer, president, with the award in front of 700-plus farmers at the 18th Annual National No-Tillage Conference in Des Moines.

Readers are instructed to base their votes on the products that have been most successful in their no-till cropping operations that year. The Calmer BT Crushers are a component of the Calmer Trash Reduction Kit known for reducing trash, and breaking down residue so that it can decompose more quickly.
