AGCO Names Former Chrysler Executive to Board

DULUTH, Ga. (Oct. 23, 2009) — Farm-equipment maker AGCO Corp. said Friday it elected Tom LaSorda, Chrysler LLC's former president and vice chairman, to its board effective Dec. 6.

LaSorda left Chrysler earlier this year after the automaker filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. He also has served as president and chief executive of DaimlerChrysler AG and as an executive at fellow automaker General Motors.

LaSorda will replace David Momot, who will retire from AGCO's board.
