Individually hub mounted Disk Blades, with hydraulic depth control, size residue ahead of rugged chisel shanks. Chisel Shanks measuring 1-1/4 in. x 2 in., feature a 6 in. pivot width and are formed “on edge” to reduce draft and improve residue flow. They use 50° x 2-1/4” C-C x 1/2” bolt attachments. The shanks provide over 34 in. of frame-to-sweep tip clearance. They are spaced on 12 in. centers in four ranks with total of 16 shanks on the center section. Aggressive springs keep sweeps at preset levels for consistant working depths. The Narrow Hydraulic Hitch on the 16’ through 28’ provides stability and maneuverability. This same narrow hitch is standard on the 32’ and 36’ floating hitch machines. The Floating hitch and tricycle wheel arrangements on the 32’, 36’ and 40’ machines provide more consistent penetration depth and ground-following ability.

Farmers agree that the DOMINATOR leads the primary tillage market with its unique ability to handle today’s difficult GMO corn residue in corn-on-corn farming situations. The large 25” coulters on live hydraulic down pressure adjust to varying field conditions to ensure positive residue cutting. With the optional residue manager, residue length can be reduced by an additional 25%. Shank depth is easily adjustable from 8” to 16” via hydraulic depth control, and the 18” shank spacing removes as much as 80% to 90% of yield robbing compaction. 7” Nichols winged points provide excellent fracture, and the new chromium carbide shank wear bars offer outstanding shank protection. Superior field leveling and finish is achieved through the disc conditioner with 24” blades which reduce clod size, mix residue uniformly into the soil profile and level the surface for smoother seedbed operation in the spring. The flexible TopDown cultivator from Väderstad offers a broad spectrum of possibilities. It has a working depth of 2 to 10 inches for shallow and deeper tillage as necessary. Using independently adjustable discs and tines, TopDown works the soil both at the top and down below. TopDown cuts up the soil surface, mixes in stubble, levels the soil and packs the surface all in one pass, offering a wide range of point options.
