Founded in 1980, DIS began as a software company and quickly grew to provide full dealership business systems, including hardware, software, networking, data conversion, installation and training. PRODUCTS IN ACTION Message from the President For 35 years, DIS has worked hand in hand with equipment dealerships to help improve their efficiencies and increase their profitability. We view that as our most important objective. Our first customer, a tractor dealership in California, installed a DIS dealership business system in 1980. Since then, we have never stopped working to develop new software and technologies to continue that vision of helping dealers become better. Even with industry leading dealership business systems, it would mean little to dealerships if we didn’t provide a high level of customer service. At the outset, DIS decided that premium customer service would be core to everything else we offer. It’s difficult to overstate the importance of building long-term relationships between our customers and ourselves. More recently, DIS began the transition to add Internet based solutions. These included both complete cloud based dealership business systems, along with other Web products completely new to the equipment dealership industry. Now we are delivering new mobile apps designed for smartphones and tablet computers that help dealerships sell more and deliver better service to their customers. As we look forward, watch for DIS to bring new, innovative solutions and products, all specifically designed to help equipment dealerships become more efficient and profitable. As for that dealership in California that installed the very first DIS business system, they are still a customer today. They have upgraded and added to their DIS business system multiple times over the past 35 years.
