The Fairgrounds, home of the Erie County Fair, will be hosting the 6th Annual WNY Farm Show February 4-6. The Show is sponsored by the Erie County Agricultural Society which continuously looks for ways to promote agriculture and education within the community it serves. With 18% of Erie County being claimed for farmland the WNY Farm Show works to bring together the local farming population and the services necessary for daily operations. Past vendors have included feed, seed and equipment dealers, farm service providers, and non-for-profits that specialize in agriculture education, promotion, and advancement.
The WNY Farm show will be introducing new show times in 2016. Thursday, February 4 from 9:00am-5:00pm. Friday, February 5 from 9:00am-5:00pm. Saturday from 9:00am-3:00pm.
The WNY Farm Show will be held in two indoor, heated buildings on the Fairgrounds. There will be concessions available as well as an area for kids to do ag-tivities. Organizers are hoping to expand the show’s family-fun offerings with new events and competitions.
Industry professionals will lead seminars each hour covering a variety of topics.
Over 10,000 visitors are anticipated to visit the show during its three-day run. Vendors who wish to get in front of these attendees are encouraged to apply to participate. The show is geared towards and advertised directly to WNY’s farming communities to ensure that attendees are engaged and interested in the products and services offered. While the show is open to the public, the majority of the WNY Farm Show’s visitors are agriculture types, which translate directly into business leads. Vendors who apply before October 1st receive $50 off. The final deadline is December 31st.
