SHEFFIELD, Iowa — Sukup Manufacturing Co. of Sheffield, Iowa, has sold its implement line to Remlinger Manufacturing Co. Inc. of Kalida, Ohio.

The Sukup Implement line includes grain drills, row crop cultivators, shredders, rotary cutters, food plot planters, seeders, grain carts and rippers. “During the time that we were actively manufacturing our implement products, Sukup had the best high-residue, high-speed cultivator on the market. We also had the best pasture and conservation drills available,” said Kerry Hartwig of Sukup Manufacturing Co. “We have continued to offer parts and support over the past number of years, but we are thrilled that Remlinger will now be offering these outstanding products for sale again.”

The acquisition of the Sukup Implement line by Remlinger Manufacturing is just the type of transition Sukup hoped for when looking to sell their implement line. Sukup is a family-owned company with a great reputation for taking care of their customers. Remlinger is also a family-owned company. “We feel this acquisition is a tremendous opportunity for Remlinger Manufacturing to further diversify our product line and will strengthen our dealer relationships going forward,” said John Remlinger, president of Remlinger Manufacturing.

“Sukup Manufacturing Co. takes great pride in the top-quality implement products we engineered and produced. We want to thank our Sukup Implement customers for their past business. We wanted to make sure that, when we chose a company to carry on the Sukup Implement line, that it would be one that would continue to provide support for past Sukup products. Remlinger has assured us they will,” said Charles Sukup, president of Sukup Manufacturing Co. “Sukup Manufacturing Co. has seen tremendous growth over the past ten or so years and we don’t plan to slow down. Passing the Sukup Implement line into the hands of Remlinger will allow us to focus solely on our goal to protect and preserve the world’s grain supply and the equipment that produces it.”

Remlinger will begin their support of Sukup Implement products, as well as Marliss grain drills, effective immediately. For parts and/or service, contact Remlinger at 800-537-7370 or via email at AgSales@remlingermfg.com.
